“My journey began in Ecuador, where, during hot summer nights, I recall being tucked into my bed in the room I shared with my parents, seeking cool solace from the single window AC unit. I am certain this is where the seed was planted for my future endeavors in revolutionizing the HVAC sector!
Personal challenges came to me at a young age, with macular degeneration leaving me visually impaired. Not one to turn my back on a challenge, I swiftly mastered Braille and was home-schooled for the first few years. My parents, recognizing the limitations I faced in Ecuador, made the courageous decision to relocate to the United States, where they knew there were better opportunities for me.
This unselfish move laid the foundation for my educational journey, culminating in graduating summa cum laude from Houston’s University of Saint Thomas.
Before beginning my entrepreneurial journey with Horizon Air Solutions, I joined Teach for America, an organization dedicated to fueling the passion of learning in students facing systemic racism and poverty. I also gained valuable experience as an oil analyst. Both experiences enriched my life perspective and equipped me with the skills I would need to launch my own business.
